LatitudeLearning supports eight languages. Course, ILT Offerings, Programs of study, Certifications, Curriculums and other fields that will be encountered by a non-English speaker are supported with multiple language translations.

To engage in Multi-Lingual Support, a few components need to work together. First, the LMS Administrator will need to create translations for course attributes. Using a convenient drop-down method to select a language translation for a field, the LMS Administrator can enter how the field should be displayed to the user.

For example, a course code and course name are defined in English - but if the LMS Administrator wants Italian speakers to see a meaningful Italian course code and course name, they will need to create the translated value for these fields in the course edit window.

Next, the student will need to have their preferred language changed from English to one of the following: Chinese, English (Australia), English (United Kingdom), French (Canada), Italian (Italy), Portuguese (Brazil), or Spanish (Mexico).

A student who selects a non-English preferred language will be able to log in and see text in their native language. The screenshot below is the training calendar, translated in Italian.

Besides translations controlled by logic programmed into LatitudeLearning, the LMS Administrator can participate in multi-lingual support by creating several customized language specific pages including: the login page, home page, and self-registration page.

With fully functional multi-lingual support, LatitudeLearning ensures that every student - no matter what language they speak - will be able to see content in their native language and easily receive the training materials they need.
