The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release Version (3.0.0. 69779) was promoted to production on Sunday, April 3, 2016.
ENHANCEMENTS
Search Courses – Added a new “Course Organization” filter to search criteria so that Portal Administrators can find courses by catalog (Business Unit). This filter is only available to LMS users assigned the Portal Administrator role.
Course Configuration – Course catalogs are stored and managed at the Business Unit level. While most course settings are applied globally throughout the LMS, there are four settings that can be configured differently in the same course for each Business Unit:
- Approval Required
- Subscription Program
- Non-Subscribers Can Enroll
- Allow Use of Interest Lists
There are now Site Help Text entries for each of these fields, warning Portal Administrators that when editing an existing course, any changes made to these four fields will only apply to those users affiliated with your selected organization.
RESOLVED ISSUES
Offering Shared Distribution – Fixed a bug that was preventing Administrators and Instructors from selecting Shared Distributions when adding/editing a classroom course offering. Note: The only way to deactivate a Shared Distribution is by clicking in the Left Navigation Menu Distributions => Search Distributions, selecting a record, and deleting all associated rules. Inactive distributions will not be found when adding or editing an Offering.
User Import – Fixed the data validation process that was allowing Portal Administrators to import more users than the number allowed by their LMS subscription. Active User License limits are once again being strictly enforced upon User Import.
User Merge – Updated business logic so that all profile and training history from both “Old User” and “New User” accounts come through the merge intact.
Reports – Updated the LMS reporting tool to return Results in CSV format with commas in those data elements that are included in Search criteria. For example, an administrator runs the “Evidence of Competency by Course Report” and selects Location: Ann Arbor, MI. That Organization code will not be broken into separate columns, as is standard with Comma Separated Value (CSV) files, but will be returned as “Ann Arbor, MI” in a single cell.
