RESOLVED ISSUES
Reports: The LMS reporting tool allows administrators and managers to select their preferred Delivery Method, including the option to export data into Excel.
A recent update to Microsoft Office now defaults Excel files to open in “Protected View” in an attempt to block users from opening un-trusted files. Latitude Support has updated the default Delivery Format for Excel from Xls to Xlsx to circumvent issues caused by this Microsoft security update.
View Home Page:
- Employee and Approvals tabs – Resolved a data scoping issue where LMS administrator would click Users => Search Users => Edit User Account => View Home Page, and see their own user/request data listed under the Employee and Approvals tabs. Now admins will see end users’ Employee and Approvals data as they should when viewing another’s Home page.
- Site Text – The LMS Support Team also updated verbiage around this function as follows:
"You are viewing: [Student Name and Location Information]
*Note: All actions that you perform within the tabs below this yellow header will be applied to said user. Navigate outside of the tabbed structure to leave user's Home Page view. To perform an exact User Impersonation, navigate to Users => Search Users and then click the Impersonate button."
Edit Messages: "CC Managers with these Roles" – This message configuration option was working for Email type notifications, but not Message Center. We have fixed the message setting so that managerial users can once again be CC’d on Message Center notifications sent to students.
Classroom Course: Offering Announcements – Updated this feature to allow administrators and instructors to send an Announcement message for an Offering that has occurred in the past. Before this update, a bug was preventing LMS admins from selecting a past Offering => clicking Messages tab => sending an Announcement to enrolled students, even when that offering was still open. Now admins can send an ad hoc message from any “open” offering at any time.
NOTE: Admins cannot message users from an offering in “cancelled” or “closed” status.
Instructor Profile: Resolved an issue where adding the “Instructor” Role to an existing user’s profile was not automatically populating the Instructor Profile tab as expected.
User Import: While the Add User form requires Email address for successful submission, the User Import tool does not. To help administrators understand this possible data gap for ongoing user management, the automated User Import confirmation email will come with a new warning message for users successfully added with no Email address. Note the new columns in the import SuccessFailureLog Excel file as well.
- Count sheet will include new column "Successful with Warning" flag.
- ExportData sheet includes new column "Warning Message" that lists all users successfully imported without Email address (null).
Add / Edit Certification: Fixed a bug that was causing edits to the Position Group field to fail. Administrators should again be able to add and remove multiple Position Groups in a single edit.
Site Text, CSS, and Format: Posted updates to the following pages...
- Users => User Merge
- Users => Search Instructors
- User Groups => Search User Groups => Employees
- Certification Rules => Add / Edit Generic Rule
- Certification Rules => Add / Edit Generic Rule => Choose Course picker
- Organizations => View / Edit Position => Relationships tab => Select a Department picker
