Course Topics are a way to group courses by common subject. Topics are similar to course Majors, but provide additional features:
  • Administrators can set up a hierarchy of topics, creating a drill-down menu experience
  • A course can be tagged to multiple topics, but only one major
  • The "Browse by Topics" menu functions separate from, or in conjunction with other Course Search filters

When a hierarchy of topics is created, the first click will display all courses associated with the parent. As the student clicks on subsequent child topics, a more refined set of results display. Course Topics help empower students to take their training in directions that meet their personal interests and professional needs.
