LatitudeLearning Tools
If an LMS Administrator wants to add multiple users at once – and assign a common password to all – a Manual User Import may be used. With this method, the LMS Administrator fills out a standard import template (CSV file) with user data, one row per user. Create up to 2,000 new LatitudeLearning accounts with one click – assuming the active user count falls within your LMS license.
The User Import Template can be downloaded
here
.
Start by assigning each user a unique Username, LMS Organization, and Primary Position.
Accounts
will be created with the default role of Student and Preferred Language of English-US; but you can assign alternate roles or languages as desired. See related support documentation for instructions.
The User Import tool is also helpful for assigning managers in a Person to Person reporting hierarchy. When an LMS is set up with Person to Person reporting, which is sometimes referred to as direct reporting, user oversight is determined by direct managerial relationships, instead of the position code hierarchy. The user import template allows the administrator to directly assign each user a Manager and Alternate Manager.
After importing the template, every user record will include key components:
Organization
Role
Position
Managers (Person to Person Hierarchy)
The Manual User Import with the user import template greatly reduces the ongoing effort required to create users, since it is a single process to create users in one batch.
