LatitudeLearning is committed to ensuring the success of portal administrators who are setting up a new LMS for their organization and those who are new to the portal administrator role for an existing LMS. To augment the Portal Administrator training programs available in our Navigator portal, we recently released our first instance of embedded training, focused on a key new administrator skill - Adding Users.
Now, portal administrators who access Add User from the Administration > Users > Add User menu will be offered an option to view a short training video on the Add User process.
The video is set up as an eLearning course in the Navigator portal. The embedded training popup offers three action options:
- Play the Video - the video opens in a new window
- Watch it later - the user is enrolled in the video course and it will appear on their Courses to Complete page for future viewing
- Not Interested in this Video - the user can opt out of viewing it and will not be asked about it again
We have also added a persistent video icon (4) to the upper right area of the page. Click it to view the video anytime.
In the coming months we'll be adding popup video training for additional pages, focusing on the key features new portal administrators must understand to set up and maintain a successfully functioning LMS.
