LatitudeCG announces a new release of the LatitudeLearning LMS. Version 3.0.0.84671 was promoted to production on Sunday, March 1, 2020
Enhancements
New Skills Page: We have introduced new Skills pages to replace legacy curriculum-related pages that employed Adobe Flash Player, which will no longer be supported by Adobe after December 31, 2020*. From the Navigation user interface, the user-facing Skills page and the manager-facing My Team - Skills page now present an updated user experience that is Flash-free. This enhancement also impacts related pages accessed from the Classic Home page: the user-facing Curriculum tab and the manager-facing Department Curriculum view of the Employees tab. Both Classic pages redirect to the new Skills and My Team - Skills pages, respectively.

Resolved Issues
Courses: To allow re-hired employees to get credit for previous course completions and related certifications, we updated the system to re-evaluate course equivalency and prerequisite rules when the user is reactivated.
*Note About Flash Player End-of-Support and SCORM Content
The end of Flash Player support in December 2020 may also impact LMS customers who rely on SCORM-based eLearning content for their training programs. In years past, Flash was the predominant format used for publishing SCORM content to be uploaded into an LMS. Content created and published using earlier versions of eLearning authoring tools may contain Flash that will no longer work properly next year, and may already cause disruption for students due to early action by major browsers to phase out Flash prior to the final Adobe end date. Affected courses, if still in use, may need to be re-authored or re-published in the format HTML5 or HTML5 First / HTML5 over Flash (in which HTML5 is prioritized unless a user has an older browser.) More recent versions of major SCORM authoring tools allow publishing in these formats. We recommend you contact your authoring tool support team to determine the compatibility of your current authoring software and to identify what steps you may need to take to update your non-HTML5 content to the new format by December 31, 2020. If you rely on SCORM content developed by or purchased from 3rd parties, you will need to contact and work with the 3rd party to understand and address potential Flash content issues.
