Hello from Latitude R&D! This is Brooke Oprsal with a monthly update on some of our activities regarding the LatitudeLearning LMS product.
Recent Product Enhancement - New Reporting Engine
LatitudeLearning is empowering Portal Administrators with a flexible new report writer tool, allowing them to create, organize, share, and execute custom reports. Extract the exact Course Transcript or Training Goal data you want from the LMS by defining a list of report criteria and result columns. Then name the report, save it to a folder, and run it any time.
Report execution is an asynchronous process so that mass amounts of training data can be gathered, synthesized, and exported without the risk of timeout errors. An email is sent when results are ready to view online. As with all LMS administrative tools, report filters and result data are scoped to a user’s organizational domain and reporting hierarchy, whether configured for Position-to-Position or Person-to-Person managerial reporting. Portal Administrators may share reports they develop with users in other roles who may want to track their employees’ progress.
Users can log into the LMS and click the Reports link to find their both their Report List and repository of Report Results from the last 30 days. Results can be exported into an Excel, CSV, or PDF file for download.
Upcoming Releases
In the next few weeks there will be several new enhancements. The new unified header will be in place, and allow for a seamless experience between the new UI pages and the legacy pages, as the transition of the Student experience evolves to the new UI.
The LMS information page will be enhanced to allow the ability to show or hide the “Course Search” box in the header, and also to be able to change the login landing page to the new navigation UI or switch back to the legacy home page as needed.
Additionally, the introduction of multi-select in user search will allow for greater flexibility for LMS users.
In the coming months, the student pages will be converted to the new UI, giving the student experience a fresh new look and feel. This will occur on a page by page basis, with the expectation of a new page rolling out every few weeks.
Proposed Enhancements
The list of enhancements and suggestions continues to grow. Please feel free to review them at here and let us know your thoughts.
What’s Coming
As reported previously, the reporting engine is moving along the path to deployment. Our steering team has been reviewing the progress regularly and making changes as we get closer to deployment. We want to make sure As mentioned above, the Student experience will be evolving to the new UI throughout 2018, followed by Manager/Instructor and then Portal Admin. We are very excited about the coming changes to the LMS, and look forward to sharing them with our users!
In addition to being a valuable tool, we’re working to improve the ease at which users navigate through the system, making it more intuitive and user friendly.
