The LatitudeLearning Team announces the latest release of the LatitudeLearning LMS. This most recent version of the LatitudeLearning LMS (version 2.5.1.62280) was released to production the evening of December 21, 2011, and worked to address three recently identified issues tied to User Profile Management, Course Management and Account Access. These updates include the following:
- User Profile Add – This issue was encounted while an authorized portal administrator was in the process of adding a new profile (for himself or for another user), the system was referencing and defaulting the most recently assigned organization information for the last profile that was created for that user. Unfortunately, if the last profile added was at the location level, the system was not allowing the administrator to search or assign organization levels further up in the hierarchy, and was instead alerting the user that no organizations were found when attempting to Choose Organization. With the update in place, authorized administrators can select from any organization/level they are permitted to access, based on their existing profile assignments in the LMS.
- Course Add – During the Course Add process, the administrator was unable to add additional owner (or shared) organization assignments before submitting the page and adding the course to the catalog. Similarly, the administrator was unable to update existing course ownership/sharing assignments using the Course Edit (General Information) options available. This fix will expose the 'Choose Organization' controls, allowing the authorized administrator to add new organization (BU) assignments during Course Add, as well as make further updates under the Course Edit, according to his/her profile assignments.
- Lock and Unlock User Account - With this issue, the Lock/Unlock action button located on the Details tab for a given user account was not accurately representing the current account status (i.e. would display Lock, regardless). Functionality was update to ensure accurate status is checked and displayed, allowing authorized the option to manually disable or re-enable access to an active user account in the LMS.
