Latitude stands behind its commitment to nonprofits

SALINE, Mich., October 20, 2015 – Latitude, an industry leading in associate performance and the home of the LatitudeConnect Suite, announces another new client, The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN), an international non-profit organization that fights world hunger by creating, supporting and strengthening food banks around the world, in countries outside the US. Currently GFN works in more than 30 countries.
Annually, The Global FoodBanking Network hosts a week-long training event in Texas in which food bankers from all over the world attend to share ideas and learn new skills to help them advance food banking in their home country. GFN was looking for a way to deliver training beyond of the annual training event that would be available year round and reach a wider audience.
“We were looking for a solution that would allow access to a full range of topics to food bankers all over the world on a 24/7 basis. Providing this valuable tool will go a long way to delivering one of our goals, which is providing training to food bankers around the world,” said Anthony Kitchen, Manager of Network Programs at GFN.
After online research and informative conversations with Latitude Learning, The Global FoodBanking Network concluded that Latitude seemed to be a Learning Management System provider that comprised standard functionality that GFN was seeking in order to start training fairly quickly without a lot of additional customization.
Why Latitude’s LMS?
When seeking an LMS provider, GFN had two distinct reasons for choosing Latitude Learning: virtual classroom and commitment to nonprofits.
“We are happy to choose Latitude’s LMS because it offers virtual classroom, which increases our ability for collaboration within certain regions of the world. We also appreciated Latitude’s straightforward commitment to nonprofits. Their commitment to nonprofits reflects the genuine and honest business culture we are proud to align ourselves with,” said Kitchen.
Latitude’s LMS provided standard functionality that made choosing them as an LMS provider a sensible choice.
The LMS will provide training topics as diverse as: food safety, food handling, how to secure more food, fundraising, marketing & communications and generic management topics that allow food bankers access to training materials they would otherwise not have.
“Our success is based on the success of our clients to achieve their training goals. We are excited to have The Global FoodBanking Network on our client list. GFN understands the importance of an international training model and appreciates the high functionality and dependability of our LMS provides because of the significant and valuable work GFN does to offer people around the globe with vital resources,” said Chief Executive Officer Jeff Walter, Latitude Learning.
