The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release Version 2.5.1. 66413 was promoted to production on Sunday, November 23, 2014.
Resolved Issues:
Business Structure is required when creating New Location –
One of our portal administrators discovered that the LMS would allow you to create a LOCATION with just a Locale indicated for the Training Structure and did not require you to specify a Division in the Business Structure as well. This caused problems when attempting to assign users to this location and it was basically an “orphaned”
organization. When creating a new Location, Business Structure is now required before you can proceed.
Today’s Date function not working in all browsers – A defect was discovered whereas this functionality was not working consistently in all browsers. This situation has been remedied and the Today’s Date function in the Training Calendar is now working according to design in Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Certification Calculation Date – Previously this field was not mandatory, but if it was not completed when a course was initially created you did not have the ability to edit the course. This date field will now be auto-populated with the course creation date, just as the Course Display and Enrollment Open Date are automatically populated. All of these fields can be edited to meet your needs, but will be required at the time the course is created.
Report Titles – During an internal review of report functionality it was discovered that of few of our standard reports, when Excel was chosen as the delivery method, were exporting with a name of Report.xls(x) rather than the report name. We have made adjustments so that all the standard reports consistently save as the actual report name.
Customer Customization Updates:
In addition to the above generally available updates, this code post also included several updates that addressed requests related to customer specific customizations. Portal administrators impacted by these updates will receive an email notification on Monday morning from Support@LatitudeLearning.com advising them of the updates that were promoted, and also requesting their final review and approval.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback and input into ongoing enhancements to the LMS. For additional information regarding these and other capabilities, please contact the Latitude Learning Support Team at Support@LatitudeLearning.com.
