The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release (version 2.5.1.62579) was promoted to production on Sunday, April 22nd and included the following course management updates and enhancements:
Resolve intermittent SCORM deployment errors and failure messages -- Administrators experiencing intermittent issues during e-learning (SCORM) content upload and deployment where system timing issue was resulting in either error message or deployment failed message, even though content was deployed correctly.
Update Virtual Classroom configuration to prevent persistent Centra login window even after successful login -- Recent update in Centra's toolset and services was resulting in users seeing a Centra login pop-up page even after having successfully launched into a virtual classroom as student or instructor.
Enhance 'Export to Calendar' option with direct link to LMS portal code -- The link to the offering within the calendar entry saved from "Export to Calendar" was not including the portal code that is used by the LMS login page to include portal specific branding.
Update 'Add Course' to not allow duplicate course codes in same LMS portal -- This update resolves this issue by identifying content folders on the content server by unique id instead of using the course code, because existing functionality allows courses to reuse the same course code (i.e. to accommodate different versions) within a given portal.
Update Course Details page to show Action row of options even when course is not open for enrollments -- Updated to show action row even when course is not open for enrollment, leaving users the ability to the related completion certificate.
Resolved issue preventing edits to VCO offering meeting times -- Administators receiving the message 'Portal exceeded maximum Virtual Classroom sessions' when attempting to edit virtual classroom meeting times when old and new meeting times were overlapping each other. Logic was updated to exclude current session meeting times while checking for conflicts.
Resolved issue where clicking on ILT course name in Certification/Curriculum view page was presenting error message -- Logic was updated to show a list of offerings if available, otherwise show a no offerings available message with an interest list button.
Updates to resolve Add/Edit Course prerequisites and equivalents errors -- Recent update was unexpectedly presenting error messages during management of course pre-requisites and equivalency rules.
Enhanced Enrollment Notes area to ensure ability to add/edit notes in FireFox browser.
