The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release (version 2.5.1.64381) was promoted to production on Sunday, July 28, 2013 and included the following updates and enhancements...
ENHANCEMENTS
Enhanced User Group Assignment – Mass Assignment of Users – Latitude is very pleased to announce the availability of a new feature that has been requested by several LMS administrators. Previously, administrators were required to search for a given user, then assign one or more active User Groups to that user’s account via the ‘User Groups’ tab tied to his/her account. With this new functionality, the authorized administrator can now search for a specific User Group via the tools in the left menu area to view/manage existing assignments, otherwise choose to quickly assign one or multiple users via the set of picking tools. Clicking on the Add User link will then display the User Picker function which allows Administrators to quickly add users to the User Group based on Location, User Group, Position Group and other existing criteria.
RESOLVED ISSUES
State / Province Not Scope based on Country – This update addresses a reported system where the State / Province field was not being properly scoped based on the selected Country in certain scenarios.
Unable to Add Major – this update addresses a reported issue where an administrator received an error message stating that the Major already existed for the given portal, when in fact the LMS was referencing a conflict with another portal in the hosted instance. This issue has been addressed with the LMS update.
Prerequisite Not Using Correct User Profile / User Group Association – This update addresses a prerequisite issue reported by an LMS portal administrator when using the Enroll Others function. In this particular case, an enrollee had multiple User Profiles / User Groups associations and the prerequisite processor was not referencing the correct (primary) User Profile / User Group association in determining whether or not the user had met course prerequisites.
Error message when creating portal still creates the portal but asks user to resubmit - This update addresses a reported issue when a customer attempts to create a new (100-user Free) LMS portal and in doing so enters a password that does not meet requirements. In this case the customer received a message that the ‘Password is not valid or strong enough…’ and generally set the expectation that the information was not fully submitted and may need further edits. With this fix, the workflow and messaging has been updated to better guide the user.
