The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS (version 2.5.1.64616) promoted to production on Thursday, November 7, 2013. This promotion included the following:
ENHANCEMENTS
Enhanced Organization Unit Branding – [Limited Release] This set of updates largely re-engineers previous Organization Branding (i.e. previously targeted branding and custom content at Business Unit level only), now allowing authorized administrators to tailor both web page content and the general look and feel of the LMS for any/all organization levels (Company, Business Unit, Division and/or Location-level) within a single LMS portal. This includes being able to modify the following for each organization within your LMS:
- Header Logo - the banner logo at the top of the page
- Stylesheets - controlling layout and styling of the LMS for end-users
- Home Page ‘Welcome’ Area - the prominent HTML web page content on user ‘Home’ tab
- Customizable Left Navigation - the HTML web page content on the left content/quick links area
- Custom HTML Pages – these are administrator-defined LMS pages that can be used to generate supplemental program pages, product pages, FAQs or Help pages, etc. When using this within combination with the Customizable Left Navigation, it allows an administrator to create a custom web site for each community (client, partner, business unit…) of end-users.
- Login Page – organizational level URL with specific login page branding; this also includes return URL detection, so returning users will see their own personalized/styled login page.
- User Self-Registration Page (for portals with Self-Registration Add-On enabled) - organizational level URL with specific Registration page branding
- Multi-language option at each organizational level
This enhanced capability is currently being released in a limited fashion, but is available as an add-on to the LMS, or part of Latitude’s new ‘Pro-Pack’ subscription. (Please contact Support@LatitudeLearning.com for additional information and stay tuned for an FAQ that will provide additional information on this powerful add-on toolset. )
Course Discounts and Promotions – [Limited Release] This new set of functionality allows the application of unique, validated promotion codes (e.g. $50.00 discount) as part of the existing e-commerce payment processing workflow. In addition to user-facing updates that allow entry, validation and feedback regarding promotion codes during purchase, administrator reporting has been enhanced to include upgraded Direct Bill and Credit Card payment reporting, as well as a new Discount Audit report that can be used to closely track the status and performance of various discounts/discount programs.
RESOLVED ISSUES
Course Retake Restriction: Reverted default to ‘Once Only – This targeted updates returns the Add Course defaults to assign a course retake restriction as ‘Once Only’ by default. Helps to ensure that users can only enroll and gain credit in a given course once by default, but can always be overridden (i.e. changed to Unlimited or only after defined number of days) by administrators during the Add Course process.
Message Editor: Hide ‘Customize’ Button for Inactive Messages – Resolves issue where administrators were presented with option to customize inactive messages, which should only be available when the message event is active in the LMS.
Manifest Load Tuning – Includes performance tuning to resolve intermittent load failures/messages reported since our last promotion period.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback and input into ongoing enhancements to the LMS. For additional information regarding these and other capabilities, please contact the Latitude Learning Support Team at Support@LatitudeLearning.com .
