The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release (version 2.5.1.64716) was promoted to production on Sunday, December 29, 2013.
RESOLVED ISSUES
Able to Enroll Inactive User – This update addresses a reported issue where an inactive user was enrolled into a course. It was determined that this could occur if an administrator directly entered the name of the student in the user name entry field. With this update this name entered is checked to ensure that the user is active.
Blank Home Page – This update addresses a reported issue where an LMS user accessed the LMS and a blank LMS Home page was displayed. It was determined that the Home Page was throwing an error due to a combination of course statuses of the course shown on the home page. With this update the course data scenario is handled by the LMS.
Uploaded Resource Documents Fail to Open when they Exceed 4MB in size – This update addressed a timeout issue reported by an administrator. With this update, resource documents are stored in webserver file structures instead of as database objects, which resolves the timeout that was occurring when documents of this size were retrieved by the LMS.
Unable to Download a Resource Document or Link – This update addresses a reported issue where LMS users attempted to download and open resources that were defined with a resource type of ‘Link’. With the update, the download process works correctly for this Resource type.
Supervisory User Seeing Position(s) on EMPLOYEES tab that don't Report to that Supervisor– This update addresses reported issue where positions displayed via the Position picker were displayed to a manager that were not within his scope. Note that although invalid positions were displayed, employees with these positions were not accessible. With this updated only positions within the scope of the logged in user are displayed.
Error when Trying to Access Free Webinars – This update addresses a reported issue where an LMS user attempting to sign-up for one of the Latitude Learning free webinars was encountering an error message unexpectedly. This update reconfirms that a profile is automatically created in the Support portal if one does not exist.
