The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release Version 2.5.1.64825 was promoted to production on Sunday, February 9, 2014.
Enhancements
HTML5 Support for e-Learning Content – Latitude is very pleased to announce the release of targeted updates to the existing LMS Course Shell to allow for the support of HTML5 encoded content. This update is key for users of desktop, tablet and mobile platforms where Flash-based content may not be supported, but also works to support a variety of new features provided with this latest version of HTML. If you are working to upload, test and deploy HTML5-conformant content to your LMS, please contact our helpdesk at Support@LatitudeLearning.com to ensure these updates have been enabled for your portal.
Subscription and Configuration Management – Latitude is very pleased to announce an enhancement to the LMS Information page. With this update, portal administrators can now view specific details regarding their LMS subscription and LMS configuration via the existing LMS Information page available under Site Management. For Course Enrollments-based subscriptions, emails will be sent automatically to portal administrators letting them know that portal usage is nearing (95%) consumption of banked course enrollments. In that event, the maximum will be incremented to the next level temporarily until arrangements can be made to either reduce usage to the agreed-to level, or until the subscription can be updated permanently to a next tier or access. (For User Access based subscriptions, the LMS will continue to limit new user account creation if and when the maximum user count has been reached for a given portal, thereby notifying the end-user to contact his/her administrator.) Resolved Issues
Location Name Not Scope Correctly on Approval Tab – This update addresses a data scoping issue that was reportedly impacting visibility of information that was not pertinent to a particular organization unit. It was determined that although the administrator did not have access to the listed locations, they should not have been displayed.
Subscription Courses Page Displaying Duplicate Courses – This update addresses a reported issue where courses were unexpectedly displayed multiple times (i.e. once for each Business Unit a given course was shared to). With this update courses are listed only once regardless of the number of shares.
Position Name Expanded on the Workshop Roster Report – This update addresses a request from a portal administrator to expand the number of characters displayed for the Position. With the update the Position field is now 6-characters.
Resource Update Not Working Correctly – This update addresses a reported issue where a portal administrator was unable to successfully replace a resource with an updated version. With the update, this feature now works correctly.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback and input into ongoing enhancements to the LMS. For additional information regarding these and other capabilities, please contact the Latitude Learning Support Team at Support@LatitudeLearning.com .
