The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release Version 2.5.1.64875 was promoted to production on Sunday, March 30, 2014.
Enhancements
Site Management - Add / Search Discounts - (Limited Release Only) – This new set of site management tools allows authorized Portal administrators to create, manage and track custom discount programs in their LMS. This functionality allows the creation of parent discount programs, as well as the generation of unique program code bundles (e.g. for use in external marketing efforts or the like). Each bundle will contain one-to-many unique discount codes, each worth a common dollar amount for the given program/promotion. Each unique code can be entered by the student-user during the existing e-commerce process in the LMS, resulting in a discounted (even free) tuition in advance of approved enrollment in the course. These tools also include search, on-page status tracking, as well as one-click activation/inactivation of a code in a given program. This new set of administrative tools builds upon the student-facing enhancements work completed in 2013.
Subscription Credits Enhancements – This targeted set of updates enhances Latitude's existing Subscription Management (add-on) toolset. When Subscription is enabled, this enhanced capability allows authorized Portal Administrators to define a maximum # of credits allowed for a specific subscription program assignment at a given location-organization in the LMS. Once assigned, the logic will automatically manage and decrement credits used based on course enrollments tied to that subscription. It can be set to either restrict enrollment for any user that is about to exceed the maximum credits allowed, or it can also queue up enrollment requests that exceed the cap for manager approval, based on settings in the course catalog. This functionality works in conjunction with existing subscription assignment and date range functionality...Reaching the end date (before credits are expired) will inactivate subscription courses from home page...Alternatively, consuming all credits (prior to termination of date range) will also inactivate and hide subscription courses for users tied to this specific location. Administrator can edit the maximum credit count at a given location to re-open access to subscription enrollments.
Print Roster - Name Badge Roster Report – This new roster report leverages standard formatting (i.e. 8 per page Avery Laser Printable Name Badges) providing for easy, printable output of enrollee name badges for a given course Offering directly to your printer.
