The Latitude Learning Team announces the latest release of the Latitude Learning LMS. This release Version 2.5.1. 66236 was promoted to production on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
Enhancements:
Language / Culture Configurable Date Formats – Latitude is very pleased to announce the availability of language / culture specific date formatting. With this release of the Latitude LMS, users will be able to select, enter and view dates in formats that to which they are most accustom. By default, date formatting is controlled based on the user’s browser settings for language / culture. Users can, however, also override browser settings and set their date format preferences via a new Preferred Language setting on the My Details tab of their home page. With this release date formatting will be limited to Canadian French, English - US, English - Australian, English - UK, and Mexican Spanish. However in the near future remaining language packs will be supported.

Change / Update Prerequisites made more user-friendly – In response to suggestions from portal administrators, prerequisite configuration is no longer displayed using Boolean symbols but rather plain English is used. For example, prior to this update if the student needed to take course A, B or C the configuration would be displayed as: A | B | C (or condition). If a user needed to have completed A, B and C it would be displayed as: A & B & C (and condition). With this update the user will see A or B or C, or A and B and C.
Resolved Issues:
Facility Organization Assignment – this update addresses a reported issue where portal administrators attempted to remove a Facility from a Business Unit. Although the LMS displayed a message confirming a successful edit, the Facility remained connect to the Business Unit.
View Home Page Not Showing the Correct Home Page – this update addresses a reported issue where a portal administrator clicked View Home Page on the View Home Page of the targeted student, but was presented with his own home page in error. This is related to Featured Course display on Home Page when viewing employee Home Page.
User Search Not Returning Result Set – this update addresses a reported issue where very large user searches were timing out and not reporting any data. With this update, portal administrators will be required to narrow user searches (e.g., limit the search to a specific location, position group, etc.) when the result set is found to be greater than 200 users.
Customer Customization Updates:
In addition to the above generally available updates, this code post also included several updates that addressed requests related to customer specific customizations. Portal administrators impacted by these updates will receive an email notification on Monday morning from support@latitudelearning.com advising them of the updates that were promoted, and also requesting their final review and approval.
