American Board of Emergency Medicine and Latitude’s strong partnership is recognized
SALINE, Mich., July 16, 2015 – Latitude, an industry leading in associate performance and the home of the LatitudeConnect Suite, recognizes a longtime partnership with The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) by honoring them with Latitude’s North Star Award.
Latitude hosted its North Star Award at ABEM’s Lansing, Mich. office Wednesday, June 10 at noon. This ceremony recognized and honored the shared partnership with Latitude and ABEM. Just like the North Star Award suggests, the relationship between the two are constant. Latitude recognizes this strong affiliation with an award of a Sextant, a navigation device that is used to measure the angle to determine latitude.

Latitude thanks ABEM, the recipient of the North Star award, for a strong and long-lasting, 12-year partnership. Through the good and bad and through a downturned economy, ABEM’s relationship with Latitude is like a constant guiding star for both organizations.
The success of the relationship can be contributed to Latitude and ABEM’s adaption to software as it evolves overtime. “We have always placed a high premium on the relationship simply because it requires a work-in-progress approach, said John Diephouse, Associate Executive Director, Operations of ABEM.
Unlike most vendor-clients associations, ABEM and Latitude are more similar to a partner relationship which is why the strength is solid. Latitude has a team dedicated specifically to ABEM. “The longevity of the Latitude team is a critical success factor of several projects, as well as the skills and knowledge of the team,” said Diephouse. The payoff of the team is a direct advantage to the strong knowledge base of the custom system ABEM requires.
“Our mission is to ensure the highest of standards in the specialty of emergency medicine; we couldn’t do it without Latitude’s efforts. The advances we have had to make couldn’t have been done without the concrete partnership,” said Earl J. Reisdorff, M.D., Executive Director.
Both ABEM and Latitude have mutually benefited from the established partnership.

ABEM has helped us becoming a better organization by challenging us. Selecting ABEM to be the recipient of the 2015 North Star Award symbolizes true greatness in partnership.”
