Retake Restriction |
Enrollment Restriction |
“Retake Restriction” options are only provided for the following Delivery Methods: Classroom, Virtual Classroom (VC)

“Retake Restriction” options will be replaced by “Enrollment Restriction” settings, and made available for all course types.

Once you add a Classroom or VC course, the “Retake Restriction” setting is not editable. |
“Enrollment Restriction” setting will remain editable under the course General tab. Default = Once Only.
All courses assume a limit of one active enrollment in any transcript status (Scheduled, Launched, Attend(Pass), etc). Administrative tool “Enroll Others” allows for manual override of "Once Only" restriction with soft enrollment conflict.
Course enrollment eligibility will depend on new Enrollment Restriction settings. For example: If a course is set to “Once Only”, both students and administrators who try to enroll students with an active transcript for said course will receive the same hard eligibility conflict, preventing multiple enrollments. (Admin must manually expire the student's transcript in order to allow re-enrollment.)

Custom Transcript Expiration Rules
Course Transcript Expiration |
Latitude provides its customers the option of setting custom transcript expiration rules, which apply portal-wide.
In addition to the LMS portal customization option, Portal Administrators can now configure automated transcript expiration on the individual course level. In the "Transcript Expiration Days" field, simply enter the number of days after which a student's completed transcript for the course will expire.
"Transcript Expiration Days" configured at the Course level will override portal-wide setting. |
New automated messaging features apply to portal-wide settings as well, reminding students of the upcoming course expiration date and notifying them on date of transcript expiration.
The LMS Messaging feature will be enhanced with three new automated messages, which like the rest, can be made Active/Inactive and updated with custom content. If you plan to use the Course Credit Expiration feature, please open LMS Site Management => Edit Messages to review default message content and customize it to fit your business needs. New Message Events:
Student - Course Credit Expiration Reminder
Student - Course Credit Expiration Notice
Those using the LMS Certification/Curriculum features should also see: Student - Certification Expiration Notice
