Instead of selling pre-filled vaporizers, Vaporfi allows customers to custom design their own vaporizers with amenities suited to their individual needs, and to blend custom flavors from their extensive vapor liquid selections. All of the liquids are made in the United States, and the company is on a mission to create a higher standard in the vaping industry. The company not only sells vaping accessories, it also manufactures its own products, which allows them to maintain the quality that they are becoming known for.
The franchise program at Vaporfi is on fire
Vaporfi is a relatively young company and they are producing franchise stores at a rapid pace. New franchise owners are introduced to an in-depth training program that begins with their unique training materials. This includes an assignment of online training courses, that are accessed, and completed, through Vaporfi’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Once the online portion of training is complete, franchisees, and their store managers, must attend, and complete, an intense five-day training session at the Vaporfi headquarters, in Miami. Here they will learn how the Vaporfi products are manufactured and used, and they will also learn the company’s sales process, that will be implemented, once their franchise store is open for business. It is here in Miami where store owners will learn how vaporizer liquid flavors are made, and how they can be mixed by customers to create unique flavor blends.
When the build out of their new Vaporfi franchise location is complete, new owners will then further their education with three days of in-store training with a Vaporfi training associate. The store owner, and his employees, will be closely monitored and trained on the proper sales techniques, product knowledge and customer service standards. Vaporfi sales associates are paid on an hourly and commission basis, and are usually vaping enthusiasts themselves. This offers the benefit that they are passionate about vaping, and interested in helping customers build the right vaporizer, and find or blend the best flavors for their palate.
“Most sales associates are enthusiasts, and really get into the information on the products. Sometimes they will even contact us to ask questions that we haven’t thought of ourselves,” states Ken Jordan, Franchise Training Manager for Vaporfi.
“Vaping is a competitive marketplace, and we want to make sure that we have brand consistency.” This is why training is so important to the company. Ongoing training is done on the Vaporfi LMS, and all franchise owners, and their employees, are required to take the online courses that are periodically produced. The corporate office is able to review the LMS statistics each month, and if they discover that particular stores have not completed the training, they will contact the owner to inquire about the lack of participation.
Store visits also take place every six months, which helps to maintain the standards that Vaporfi strives to uphold. This allows the company to offer further training in the sales process, and help a store that may be struggling. Jordan also states, “We have found that stores who follow our sales process are proven to be more successful than those that do not.”
Vaporfi manufactures its own products to maintain a higher standard
When new products are introduced, Vaporfi creates and distributes a product information sheet that outlines product features, functions and benefits, as well as the product specifications. It will also include unique selling techniques for that particular product, and offer troubleshooting advice to the stores. This information is distributed to the franchise owners via email, and will be posted in the company newsletter as well. An online training module is also created in the LMS, so that owners and associates can learn more about the product.
Jordan is a huge proponent of the Vaporfi LMS, and refers to it as “Learning Zen”. It is a great way to train across the company, and into the franchise stores. “We’ve seen that our strongest franchises are also the biggest proponents of the LMS. They understand that the success of each store will support and strengthen the brand.”
The vaping trend is going strong, and shows no signs of slowing down, and Vaporfi is poised to become the largest vaping company in the U.S. Their stores are contemporary and clean, and their training program for new franchise owners is unlike any other out there.
