"What do you think the future holds for e-learning?" asks Carly Price, Marketing Director at Terrapinn, via LinkIn.
Jeff's Response
e-Learning is and will continue to be the most disruptive technology to impact the education and training industries in over a century.
e-Learning as a technology will continue to evolve making it easier and less expensive to create engaging content. This includes mobile, gaming, virtual reality, and other technological innovations yet to come.
e-Learning is already well on its way to transforming the corporate and professional training industries. However the size of these industries pales in comparison to the K12 and Higher Ed industries. Likewise the entrenched interests of the corporate and professional training industries pales in comparison to the intrenched interests of the K12 and High Ed industries.
The future of e-learning? It's the catalyst to a fundamental reordering of society's approach to K12 and Higher Ed education. The transofrmation has already begun. Click here to see today's op-ed article in the Wall Street Journal from Juan Williams for a taste of the future.
