How to Upgrade
Transitioning to this icon-driven UI will require a migration plan and change management. But the benefits are clear, and the process of switching itself is very simple. Plus, we are dedicated to providing the knowledge and resources Portal Administrators need for a smooth upgrade experience.
When you are ready to migrate your Classic LMS to the new platform, change two settings under Site Management > LMS Information > LMS Configuration.
- Login Landing Page: Set the first page users see when they log in. If set to Navigation, they will see the icon-based Navigation page. This can be set to any page you wish.
- Home Page: Select the page to which users should be directed when they click your Header Logo or the Home icon. This can be any page you wish.
When the Classic Home page is not specified for either setting, learners will be forced to use the new interface. Only users with Administrator roles (excludes Guest, Student, and Location Manager) will have access to elements of the Classic UI for administrative activities.
